Scrambling Week

Scrambling Week

I have just spent a great week working with Tom, who wanted to move into mountaineering terrain. So we did a day of rope work and rock climbing at the upper tier on Monday. Followed by the great Grade 1 Crib Lem spur on tuesday. The next day we went for grade three scrambling on Wrinkled Tower on the west face Tryfan and down the south ridge and the Heather Terrace.

Finally we let Tom loose on the sharp end as he lead up Bastow Groove on the East Face a great low end Grade 2 to get him used to the rope work. We then descended a little below the North Tower and climbed up the excellent Notch Arete.

On my day off I went climbing to Castell Helen and did a couple of routes in the sun.
