Carreg Y Wastad
Carreg Y Wastad is beautiful crag with a couple of the better easier route in Llanberis Pass. In particular, Crackstone Rib and Wrinkle stand out as the best of those. However there are some great harder routes worth coming here for as well.
For the VS climber there are several amazing routes from the (Hard Severe) Skylon to Lion and Ribstone Crack (VS). The most impressive VS is Shadow Wall, which traverses beneath a large roof. The traverse is not too bad but the crux comes right at the end to reach the tree which you belay on and abseil off.
There are also some great HVS and E1’s to start pushing yourself on the variations of Unicorn are fantastic but it is Elidor and Overlapping Wall both at E1 which are potentially some of the best routes on the cliff. Sustain but never desperate these are a great stepping stone to the other E1’s in this valley.
