I had the privilege of climbing with Mark for two months and I quickly learned that he possess the perfect mix of rock and book smarts. Not only is he one of the best climbers I have ever met, but he has the education and training to translate complex physical and mental climbing concepts into material that is easily absorbed by those who are new to the sport. At the same time, I was also able to observe Mark engage his skills in ways that challenged even the most seasoned climbers in my group. Mark is beyond just a Mountain Guide, he is an educator. What you glean is not just his passion for the mountains, excellent photography skills that make you look rad and constant sense of humor...you come away a more competent climber.
