Introduction to Scrambling
Have you been hillwalking and wondered how to bridge the gap to grade 1 scrambling? This introduction to scrambling course helps address those skills and shows you how to safely approach mountain scrambles.
Pushed up out of the prehistoric oceans, folded and twisted under massive pressure and force and then eroded by first the great Ice Ages and then the weather; the Mountains of Snowdonia are as good an alpine playground as anywhere in the UK. With soaring ridge lines and rocky buttresses there are few other places with such a wealth of world class scrambling in such a concentrated area as Snowdonia. So if you want to come and explore these areas, we can guide you on any routes that we feel are right for your level of experience, and if you wanted can teach you the mountain skills to go it alone.
There are many classic route that we regular guide clients up from North Ridge of Tryfan, Crib Coch, Bristly Ridge, North Buttress Tryfan, Llech ddu Spur, The Parsons Nose, The Dolmen Ridge, Chasm Route and many more. We can also teach you the necessary ropework, route finding and safety skills you'll need to get up a route safely on you own.
This course is an instructional course teaching all the skills you need to know to head out scrambling under your own steam.
