Getting to Know North Wales Crags

Getting to Know North Wales Crags

This course aims to notch up several classic routes on the most used MIA crags in North Wales.

This course is suitable for trainee and qualified Mountaineering Instructors who want to be shown around the classic teaching crags of North Wales. The course is run by Mark Reeves who literally wrote the book on North Wales Climbs and has climbed and worked extensively across the region for the last 18 years.

The course starts with an hour discussion of client management at various crags with access and egress problems. We shall be using various topo shots from the RockFax North Wales Climbs Guide to spur on discussion. We hope that each student will help contribute with any experience from the many crags on offer in North Wales.

Here is a list of work routes to get you going on our very own Craig List

We will then select two location a day to visit and look at how we can use that venue as an MIA instructing rock climbing.
