Managing Sea Cliffs for the MIA
This course explores the use of sea cliffs with clients.
Whilst very few Mountaineering Instructors use Sea-cliffs on a day to day bases, they do offer a great 'experience' for the right clients. How we can manage clients safely in these environments comes down to a myriad of decisions and judgements.
This course highlights the decision making process and skills we need to take our clients sea-cliff climbing safely. It is run by Mark Reeves an experience MIA and climber with a passion for sea cliff climbing who has logged over 100 routes at Gogarth.
The course starts with a discussion about managing groups in Sea-Cliffs and what decisions and skills we need to have trained and assessed our clients in before we take them to a sea cliff. As well as a few tales of how poor judgement has lead to a few interesting incidents on Sea-Cliffs.
We then go to a sea cliff at Gogarth, which will very much depend on weather and group ability, where we will cover:

Experience: Membership of AMI and climbing at least VS
